This month’s disco adventure falls squarely on Halloween weekend and we are set to provide the soundtrack with spooky disco, ghoulish funk, and a little bit of other worldly house. Joining us on our trip through to the other side is Ray Zuniga from the Making Shapes collective. After featuring Ray on the Plastic Love Podcast last month, we needed to get him in the club to do his thing proper. Ray is on opening duties with an extended set and Plastic Love residents Bas & Jimmy take the decks at the witching hour well into the next morning. Get in to get down…Happy Halloween.
Our guest comes to us by way of San Francisco. Yet another transplant to our fair city of Los Angeles, Ray cut his DJing teeth around the bay area during his 5 year tenure. In addition to gigs at Mighty, Supperclub, Triple Crown, Shine and various after-hours Ray established his music industry knowledge working for the seminal SF label, Dirtybird. After his stint in San Francisco, he earned a scholarship through Beatport that allowed him to attend the production program Collective - LA's top electronic production recording school. Now fully established in Los Angeles, Ray is able to concentrate on his production skills.
