PLASTIC LOVE RADIO 024 / RENAISSANCE MAN, BAS

This week we welcome Renaissance Man to the show direct from Helsinki.

PLASTIC LOVE RADIO / FEB.02.2012

Tonight we kicked off our weekly installment of Plastic Love Radio. Technical issues everywhere this week (Traktor, Awdio, Adobe's Flash Encoder...I really couldn't win), but despite that we will be back next week with some much needed improvements. Bas will be on for an hour with our guest TBD so stay locked over at http://www.awdio.com/plastic-love-radio. Be sure to tune in and check after the jump for this week's tracklist!

THE OPIATES - REALITY TV (DROP OUT ORCHESTRA DUB) / DISCO ACTIVISO

The Opiates is a new project featuring the sultry vocals of one of the queens of house music, Billie Ray Martin. This remix EP; featuring Drop Out Orchestra, Disco Bloodbath, Dan Beaumont, Aera Negrot (from Hercules & Love Affair), and Doorly, landed in our inbox today and was quite the welcome surprise. They're all pretty fantastic, but Drop Out Orchestra's mix is the one that spoke to me the most. Slow-mo groove, disco strings, and Miss Martin's voice, what more could you ask for? Although the radio edit was in our box, Drop Out Orchestra is giving the dub away for free. Check it.

PLASTIC LOVE PODCAST 022 / MORNING FACTORY (CLONE RECORDS)

This week on the Plastic Love Podcast we welcome a major gear in the Clone Records machine; giving us an hour long journey through analog grooves and dusty synths, all the way from The Netherlands this is Morning Factory.

THE SOUND OF PLASTIC LOVE / 2011

2011 was a fairly big year for us, we hosted several of our own parties (including Ame's live debut!), made treks south of the border to Mexico to play at the Sunrise Music Festival, provided a home for some fantastic up and coming as well as established DJs on our podcast (a rather BUMPING old school set from Germany's Snuff Crew), made lots of awesome new friends, and of course found lots of awesome new music. Here's a list of our favorite tracks, EPs, albums, and record labels from the last year that really helped shape our sound.
